THE RENEGADE REVIEWS SCALE
-
Reserved for the best-of-the-best. A masterpiece is not inherently perfect, but you know it when you hear it. Likely to become a classic.
-
Music that isn’t quite a masterpiece, but needs to be in your daily rotation/on all your playlists.
-
Music that isn’t going to change the world or leave you speechless/give you the chills, but is still enjoyable to listen to. You’ll bob your head, have a song or two stuck in your brain, and then move on.
-
Music that maybe isn’t my cup of tea but isn’t absolutely abysmal. I can respect the intention, but I likely wouldn’t recommend it or seek it out again.
-
Music so offensively bad it belongs amongst the likes of Blood on the Dance Floor, Design the Skyline, and Brokencyde.
About The Author
Hello, and welcome to my music review website! My name is Kenneth Zallie (I go by Kenny though), and I am the owner and sole author of Renegade Reviews. I have a deep passion for music, ever since a relative gave me my first CD back when I was only 10 (Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’). Since that fateful day, music has been part of my DNA - a daily requirement for me to survive through the mundane and monotonous hamster wheel called life. My love for music has only grown as I have gotten older, with my tastes ranging from deathcore to pop, punk to hip-hop, jazz to metalcore, etc. I love to revisit records I perhaps didn’t give a fair shake when I was younger and a lot more judgemental, forgot existed, or just couldn’t fully appreciate it at the time. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my wife and our cats, playing video games, reading, running, cooking, and binge-watching TV (trashy reality or high-art is fine with me). By day, I am an IT professional who shakes his fist at the “cloud” more often than I’d like to admit.
